Win a Fagor LUX multicooker + Vegan Pressure Cooking (2nd edition)

Yesterday something kind of cool happened. It was the publication date for the second edition of my book Vegan Pressure Cooking. Revised and expanded with 20 new recipes, it’s ideal for any type of pressure cooking: traditional stove top, electric pressure cookers and multicookers.

To celebrate, three multicooker makers are participating in THREE DAYS OF GIVEAWAYS! Yep, over the next three days you can enter to win a Fagor LUX, a GoWise 12-in-1 multicooker and an Instant Pot! All three winners will also get a copy of the revised Vegan Pressure Cooking, Revised and Expanded: More than 100 Delicious Grain, Bean, and One-Pot Recipes Using a Traditional or Electric Pressure Cooker or Instant Pot®!

First up is the Fagor LUX. I learned how to pressure cook with a Fagor stovetop pressure cooker and about three years ago I tried their multicooker for the first time. In addition to a pressure cooking function, you can also slow cook, make rice, soups and stews, and make yogurt.

Huge thanks to Fagor for kicking off day one of three days of giveaways. Enter now!

  1. My favorite is acorn or delicatta squash. Only 7 minutes then I pair it with a vegan cheese sauce. Mmmm!

  2. My favorite recipe has to be Cuban Black Beans and rice. It’s perfect every time in the pressure cooker.

  3. My favourite food to pressure cook is sweet potatoes. It’s so much faster than boiling them!

  4. Pressure cooking makes beans so much more accessible to enjoy on a regular basis. That is easily my favorite things to pressure cook. I can cook from dry in an hour and there are so many varieties of beans that we’ll never run out of N
    new ones to try.

  5. I love how quickly beans, potatoes and rice can be made to perfection in the pressure cooker.

  6. People are posting great looking vegan recipes on FB, plus I’m a vegan-any soup recipe for these cold winter months.

  7. I am totally enamored of the idea of cooking legumes in the pressure cooker – because I was warned of dire, apocalyptic results in the past if I dared. I gave away my pressure cooker when I quit eating meat – ready to jump back in!

  8. I cant wait to use Carrots and Squash and Cabbage Oh my I can keep going because I love veggies. I keep thinking about getting.

  9. I would love to try cooking with a Pressure Cooker. With a busy family of five and being an athlete on the go, any way to make my day easier and my food healthier is worth it.

Thanks for the opportunity and giveaway!

  10. I’ve used stovetop pressure cookers for at least 25 years, going back to when I purchased Great Vegetarian Cooking Under Pressure by Lorna Sass! Her cookbook made me a fan, and risottos are a dream in a pressure cooker (only 6 minutes and no stirring!). But I love making soups, beans, and so many more things. I don’t think I would ever give up my stovetop pressure cooker, but the appeal of an electric cooker is that I could set it and walk away… I would love that as an option!

    1. Same! I learned on a stovetop and still use them all the time. But I also use my electric all the time, too!

  11. I cook a big pot of steel cut oats every week so that I have a nutritious breakfast for the work week.

  12. I’ve not used a pressure cooker YET, but my mom and best friend do and their meals are amazing, I’m not sure what I would try first but I’ve had a pressure cooker or multi cooker on my wish list since Christmas

  35. So much left to still try, but as of now I’m really enjoying the simplicity of cooking sweet ‘taters in our pressure cooker. I find that around 12 – 15 minutes with a ten minute natural release does just fine for two to three medium size (6,400 ft altitude).

  36. I haven’t pressured cooked anything yet, but the first items I would try would involve beans and lentils.

  44. I don’t know, I’ve never pressure cooked any Vegan Food. I do look forward to it though.
