On a crisp fall day, after a fairly brisk run
nothing says “good morning!” like a piping hot bowl of creamy oats.
JL’s Creamy Oats and Mango
Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups filtered water
- 2 cups almond milk
- Frozen mango (use as much as you like)
- Slivered almonds

Mango in oatmeal! Why haven’t I tried that yet? I know there are some frozen mango chunks in my freezer so I think I will make it after my morning run. Thanks for the idea.
p.s. I won’t be dressed like you for my run this morning — it’s warm again here in Austin. 🙁
Perfect timing – I was just wondering how I could shake up my oats this morning. 🙂
Congrats on getting out for a run! You are so right that moving out the door is the hardest part.
That looks delicious! Love that pic of you, that’s just how I feel when I’ve finished a cold run, love the hat too!
I never think to put the tropical fruits in my oats. That first photo made me drool!
Good for you. Mango with oatmeal is a great idea. I’ve never had it. Let’s run soon.
I’m up for running this weekend!
Here in Australia, where 98% of the country lists mango as their favourite fruit, this is perfectly seasonal and, well, perfect. Thank you JL!
