Good morning from Yakima, WA!
I’m popping into your feed/email box/wherever you read me with an update from the road. But first – because I can’t believe I forgot to share this sooner – I have to let you know that there are only three days left to vote in the VegNews Awards and my book The Vegan Air Fryer has been nominated as one of the best 2017 vegan cookbooks!

Now the tour update…
I’ve been running around to all kinds of great places – like a week in Montana teaching in Livingston, Bozeman, and Helena. My host, the amazing Bonnie Goodman, and I hit up some hot springs on the way to the final event in Helena.
Ahhhhhhh.
And the Helena event was extra-special as it was held at Phoenix Rising Animal Sanctuary.

I was back in Colorado for a few days and I got to do something that I’ll guess in on a lot of Colorado author’s bucket list: a book event at the famed Tattered Cover Book Store.
It was so special!
Yesterday I was in Portland, OR at The Herbivore Clothing Company for a joint book-signing with Ethan and Michael.
Where we clearly had a great time!
And tomorrow night I’m teaching a two-hour class – vegan pressure cooking and vegan air frying – right here in Yakima, thanks to my host Dr. Yami Cazorla-Lancaster, DO, MPH, MS, FAAP, CHWC of Nourish Wellness (registration info HERE).

Finally, during my brief stint at home last week Dave and I had a special event for our cat Oliver. We always called him the prince and, after Ernie died earlier in the year, we thought that we needed to eventually make him King of the House. Well, on National Black Cat Day, we “coronated” him.
