Today is National Animal Rights Day in the U.S. and I’ll be participating and speaking at the Colorado event. I interviewed the local organizers, Sassy and Jeff Skelton, on Easy Vegan Monday (you can listen here). Check out the NARD website to see if there is an event near you today.
Tomorrow on Easy Vegan at 12 p.m. MST / 2 p.m. EST. my guests are Shannon and Florian Radke, co-founders of Cinnaholic! Listen on 93.9 FM in Colorado Springs and stream from anywhere via KCMJ.org or the free TuneIn app.

Oh my goodness! I just read the article about the bride having vegan food. What is wrong with people that they can’t forgo one meal without animal products? !?! It’s HER day. They should be coming to support and celebrate her, not just a meal. Do what I do before visiting omni’s. I eat before, take a snack bar in my purse, and plan on a meal after the event. If there is something there I can have, I nibble on it. Sorry for the rant, but living in a vegan desert means I’m always adjusting to meat eaters diets.
Right, @jacqui_p:disqus? I think of people who complain when a vegan guest asks if there will be vegan options. They just want to know to be prepared. And then there’s the obvious difference here. Vegans won’t eat meat. Non-vegans eat fruits and vegetables all the time! GEESH!
