The other morning I wanted a hot grain breakfast and – horror! – I was out of oatmeal and quinoa! While frantically pawing through my pantry shelves, I did find an unopened bag of Bob’s Red Mill 10-grain hot cereal. I decided to just use my standard steel-cut oats pressure cooker formula – it totally worked!
Here it is:
- 1 cup of the dry cereal
- 3 cups of almond milk
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans.
I combined all the ingredients, set the pressure for 3 minutes at high pressure , and used a natural release. I drizzled (okay guzzled) maple syrup over the hot bowl of grains before serving. Super-quick and super-GOOD! It made enough for four.
Yesterday I got a big delivery due to some serious online shopping. What can I say? With a busy work and travel schedule, the internet helps fulfill my vegan fashion needs. In this video I reveal a new GUNAS luxury handbag, a new Vaute Couture winter coat, the cutest rain boots you’re ever going to find (cowgirl style, y’all!), and I make a confession (hint: Fresh n’ Lean to the rescue!).
