CREATE FLAVORFUL MEALS:
BUILD UP YOUR PLANT-BASED PANTRY

FREE CLASS If you're a new or seasoned cook, you may still be struggling with how to create variety when using flavor profiles. Or perhaps the idea of "meaty" vegan cooking ("umami"!) is new to you. In this free class, instructor JL Fields - Vegan Culinary Instructor & Cookbook Author will share strategies to slowly build up your plant-based pantry and offer simple techniques to help you learn to use ingredients, spices, seasoning and cooking methods to create flavorful, umami-rich vegan meals.

In this three-part class, you decide if you need one, two or all three sessions!

Class One: Instant Pot and Pressure Cooking 101  
10 to 10:45 p.m.
It’s time to unbox your new Instant Pot, multicooker or pressure cooker and learn the basics of vegan cooking in minutes! Cooking basics will include information on beans, grains, vegetables, and even fruit!

Class Two: One-pot meals
11 to 11:45 p.m.
Come on, you know that's one of the reasons you bought the pot. You want a meal that's quick and easy with very little mess. Better yet, set it and forget it. You'll learn how to create a one-pot bean, veggie and grain recipe + the how to make perfect one-pot pasta.

Class Three: Next-Level Instant Pot Creations 
12 to 12:45 p.m.
It's time to go big. In this session, you'll learn how to multi-layered meals using racks and bowls and you will learn how to make homemade tempeh (using the yogurt function). Bonus: you'll get recipes for coconut and soymilk yogurts.

THE MONTHLY VEGAN SUPPER CLUB

SIMPLE SUMMER RECIPES 

$65

In this small, intimate-sized HANDS-ON cooking class you will learn how to create vegan versions of summer favorites (and more). We'll start with protein-packed salads and move on to a fast bean casserole that's delicious on its own but also terrific served in taco shells or as nachos or even in a hotdog bun. We'll finish our meal with a healthy sweet treat - fresh berries and homemade cream - and vegan wine from Girasole Vineyards.

MONDAY | JULY 22 | 7 TO 8 PM

FROM OMNIVORE TO PLANT-BASED: LEARN HOW TO FILL UP A TASTY VEGAN PLATE HEALTHFULLY!

FREE CLASS One of the biggest obstacles facing those interested in a plant-based diet is simply not knowing what to eat. In this class, you'll learn about the five vegan food groups (including how much to eat on a daily basis to get a wide range of vitamins and nutrients and, yes, protein) and how to prepare them quickly. Bonus: You'll receive a list of some of the best vegan versions of meat, cheese, milk, and more at local Colorado Springs grocery stores.

THURSDAY | AUGUST 1 | 6 TO 8 P.M.

THE MONTHLY VEGAN SUPPER CLUB

SOUTHWESTERN CUISINE, VEGAN-STYLE!

In this small, intimate-sized HANDS-ON cooking class you will learn the basics of (or enhance your current skills for) vegan meal prepping. We'll be making green chile, taquitos, rice and beans, and more! After we cook together we will sit down for a full vegan dinner and vegan wine from Girasole Vineyards.
