I recently made my first trip to Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary in Deer Trail, CO. I have been a donor for over a year so it was a real thrill to see where my financial support goes.
The residents – cows, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and more – are well cared for, loved, and have so much spunk and personality.
Farm animal sanctuaries have a real spot in my heart. I had the privilege of witnessing an animal that escaped slaughter arrive to sanctuary last year and the impact was profound. I always include sanctuaries in my charitable giving each year. I have a lot of meat-eating years to make up for!
