One thing that comes along with a big move across country is saying goodbye. Luckily, I have two more weeks to say so long to friends privately.
Today I made a public farewell…
…to my vegan column on Small Bites, the food blog on LoHud.com (the website of my local paper, The Journal News).
In I Eat Plants: A farewell post from columnist JL Fields I share my thoughts on what writing the column meant to me and I pass the torch to fellow Westchester vegan blogger The Picky Vegan.
I am incredibly thankful to food editor Liz Johnson for inviting me to launch a plant-based column on Small Bites – and for publishing a number of my pieces in the print edition of The Journal News. It was a true honor.
I hope you’ll go on over to the column, take a read, and maybe even share some thoughts.
Parting really is such sweet sorrow.

What a big day – and a big column. Thanks for sharing it and I hope the sweet sorrow eases to sweet memories as you prepared for your shift in location!
Thank you, @bitesizedthoughts:disqus! Yes, wonderful memories!
