Luscious Organic Desserts (A vegan cookie & scone review)

A few weeks ago quarrygirl.com announced: “luscious vegan baked goods now available online!”  I promptly went to Luscious Vegan Desserts website and placed an order for French Tea Cookies and Cranberry Orange Scones.  Within in minutes.  Never underestimate the influence of bloggers–just ask Veg News!

About five days later I received an email from Jon at Luscious Organic Desserts. He apologized for the delay but there was an error in the shipping option — I selected ground but the scones require two-day shipping — so they held my order so that they could send it to me via two-day shipping, at no added cost to me.  He went on to say

We are also sending you an extra pack of tea cookies as you are our first Foodzie customer 🙂

I love good customer service!

And then the sweet treats arrived.

I had to explain to my husband that while we would share these delectable goodies, the vegan always trumps the omnivore on who gets more when it comes to vegan treats.
Original French Tea Cookies

We were both blown away with these tiny bites of flavor.

And, fortunately, I ordered two of these–

Cranberry Orange Scone

–my first scone since going vegan!  The texture was moist (unusual for scones, if I recall) and light (also unusual).  I loved it.

Luscious Vegan Desserts is a new favorite sweet treat for both the vegan and the omnivore in this house!

  1. I love the “vegan trumps the omnivore” rule. This wasn’t observed when I made your carrot cake, nor the last batch of Rebar brownies. In the case of the brownies however, breaking the rule saved me from myself. The recipe might have been vegan, but it certainly wasn’t low fat! Enjoy your treats.

  2. i wanna try these so bad! i don’t believe i’ve ever had a vegan scone. :/
