It’s Vegan Pizza Day! (Plus, summer = pasta salads! How about a Hodgson Mill Pasta GIVEAWAY?)

It’s Vegan Pizza Day!

Last year this auspicious occasion was celebrated on January 29 and I made this yummy pie, a day late.  Yesterday I made pizza a day early, so that I could review a vegan pizza cookbook for you. I will share the review – and a giveaway – tomorrow, but today, on the actual Vegan Pizza Day, I offer you this teaser.

On to today’s giveaway.  Earlier this week I posted about my Creamy Spinach Bow Tie Pasta Salad recipe which is part of the Hodgson Mill Summer Pastabilities contest on Pinterest.  Voting continues through July 6! More details on voting are below but let’s get to a giveaway!

The fine folks of Hodgson Mill  are offering my U.S. readers $25 of assorted pasta!

The bow tie, angel hair and elbow whole wheat/whole grain pastas are delicious!

You can enter this giveaway below, but right now, though, I NEED YOU!

Voting for the Summer Pastabilities recipe contest is live on Pinterest, through July 6.  How do you vote? Buy liking my pin!  (Repinning is great, too, but I need your LIKE.) Click this photo and then “like” the pin to vote! Then, while still on Pinterest, click the photo and you’ll get the full recipe on the Hodgson Mill siteThe fine print: you need to follow Hodgson Mill on Pinterest in order for your vote to count, and “like” your entry on their official contest boards. (Any “likes” gained on contest re-pins (seen elsewhere on Pinterest) will NOT count).

Thanks to those of you who have already voted! I appreciate you!

  1. Liked your pin! Looks delicious! If I won this pasta giveaway, I would definitely make some kind of vegetable pasta dish – the ideas are limitless! Thanks for offering this and good luck on your pinterest voting!!

  2. I don’t know if it has a name, but we go pasta + homemade mayo with a little bit of “fancypants” mustard, peas, chopped white onions, carrots and vegan bologna!

  3. the Creamsy Spinach Bow Tie Pasta Salad looks delish, but so does the Creamy Balsamic Pasta Salad with Vegetables and Feta!

  4. Pasta salad: Something without mayo (too much of it freaks me out). Probably something with massaged kale in it too. And vegan sausage! Nom nom nom…

  5. Recipe looks wonderful! Pasta dish…hmmm, fresh summer veggies and a simple olive oil or marinara sauce would be just fine. Simple, fresh food!

  6. I would use whatever variety of fresh veggies I picked up at the farmers market that week!

  7. Pingback: Azuki Bean Salad
  8. I have an obsession with pasta and homemade cashew cream sauce! LOVE it! I just tried hemp seeds for the first time so I think I’d add some in there for texture and taste (not to mention awesome nutritional stats).

    1. And I’d make a rotini pasta salad with mustard, peas, veganaise, white wine vinegar, etc….
