I always say that the hardest things about leaving New York were saying goodbye to easily accessible vegan restaurants, my hair stylists (yes, I had two) and my I Eat Plants column for LoHud.com/The Journal News (which I passed on to the fabulous Jodie of The Picky Vegan).
I love my new hairstylist Bryan (I even officiated his wedding last summer). In fact, I love him so much that when he moved from a lovely salon to a barbershop I followed him. Yep, I’m the gray-haired lady getting a purple streak on her bangs while sitting next to little boys getting their first haircuts and military men getting a shave. I digress…
I have also discovered delectable vegan dining options in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area and now I get to write about those plant-based food finds for my local daily paper, The Gazette.
I have joined The Gazette’s dining review team and will be writing monthly reviews of vegan food in Colorado Springs!
You can read my first review here: Colorado Springs’ Ola Juice Bar: Fresh, Flavorful – and vegan.
This has been one of my goals since moving to Colorado–to find my “home column.” I love it when dreams come true!
