No, I didn’t receive a love letter. Though Dave does leave me post-it love notes on my coffee cup on mornings that he leaves before I awake.
(While it is true that Dave loves cupcakes, he calls me cupcake and those notes are for me, not baked goods.)
No, I didn’t write a love letter to Dave. It’s not my style and he would be seriously concerned if I did write one. I do make him vegan food. Though he’s not vegan so I can’t say that’s necessarily a good thing (to him). I kid, I kid. He likes it.
Today I wrote a love letter to Our Hen House, the organization that I credit with pushing me along the way on my vegan/activist journey. Three years on this vegan journey and this was the love letter to pen; it just felt right. I made this pinkish dessert for the Our Hen House online magazine; that felt right, too.
Please take a moment to check out Will You Be My Vegan Valentine? (BONUS: Recipe for Rhubarb Banana “Ice Cream”).
I you, readers, more than you can possibly know. Happy Valentine’s Day.
