The Happy Herbivore: A party, a new dish & a cookbook winner!

It’s a Happy Herbivore kind of day!

Have you seen my Vegan Field Report: SLICE, The Perfect Food in NYC on quarrygirl.com?  I wrote about the terrific meal I enjoyed at the NYC book-signing party celebrating Lindsay’s cookbook.

It was so wonderful to see Lindsay again!  (You may recall that we met for the first time at V-Note last fall.)

Before I announce the cookbook winner, I thought I’d share another quick and fabulous dish from The Happy Herbivore Cookbook.

Braised Balsamic Asparagus (p. 171)

One of the many reasons I love this cookbook is that when you find something in your cupboard or refrigerator that you want to use up (asparagus, for instance) there’s a good chance Lindsay has a recipe for it. This was delicious!
