Hello from Costa Mesa, CA and Happy World Vegan Day!
World Vegan Day is an annual event celebrated on 1 November, by vegans around the world. The Day was established in 1994 by Louise Wallis, then President & Chair of The Vegan Society, United Kingdom to commemorate its 50th anniversary and in 2014 the 70th anniversary of the term ‘vegan’, ‘veganism‘, and the establishment of The Vegan Society. ~Wiki
Friday night in Colorado Springs we celebrated World Vegan Day early, as part of a community-wide celebration and live broadcast of my radio show Easy Vegan. Over 100 community members attended the event! You can listen to the special World Vegan Day broadcast of Easy Vegan today at 10 a.m. MST online on KCMJ.org (or on the FREE TuneIn app), at 12 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Saturday.
The archive is up on SoundCloud here.
So what am I doing today for World Vegan Day? I’m speaking at the SoCal Vegfest!
I will be on the Main Stage at 10:45 and in the Cooking Demo tent at 2:00 (using a pressure cooker to make vegan rice pudding!). Hope to see you there!
