I hope you aren’t sick of hearing about the throwdown yet because I have just a few final things to share. The Journal News ran a story on it Wednesday – look at the word “vegan” loud and proud (on my apron) on the front page of the Life & Style section!
They also ran a gallery of event photos online. Food is activism and I am so honored to share the vegan message through my online food column with my local paper! (Psst…I am planning a return cooking demo visit to the John Jay Homestead Farm Market in the fall – with kale! – so stay tuned!)
Yesterday in my weekly I Eat Plants column I wrote about this wild mushroom burger
at the lovely Cafe of Love in Mt. Kisco, NY.
I hope you are having a terrific Friday!

What fun to see you in your bright, cheery vegan apron in print! Well done, and I agree – once you’ve done a cooking demo, you want to do another very soon. As exhausting as they are with the prep and planning, it’s invigorating to share and teach others, helping them explore vegan living. Keep on, JL! 🙂
Thanks, Dreena! You inspire me! xo
Happy Weekend! And I love that apron! We’d love for you to link up to our new weekly blog hop- photo friday- any of your fav. pictures from any posts are welcome!
Happy weekend to you, too!
