I asked and you answered! Last night on Facebook I tossed out an idea: If I offered an online vegan class, would you take it? You said yes!
I have been a vegan lifestyle coach and educator for just over a year and have loved working with individual clients and students – guiding them on their plant-based journey. I have taught classes in Colorado Springs, CO, Westchester, NY and in Napa Valley, CA. Why not spread the love and take my classes online?
This is a new concept for me so I have an idea. How about I offer a FREE test class for five readers?
Online Vegan Class: Healthy Food Preparation for the Busy Non-Cook
This online class, taught via a Google+ Hangout, will help you, the vegan, vegetarian or veg-curious cook, add more plants to your diet. I will offer simple strategies to incorporate the fabulous five vegan food groups – vegetables, fruit, legumes, grains, and nuts and seeds – into healthy diet.

Hi, so busy, hungry family, I’m vegan they are not, need to keep dinners interesting and tasty and I’m no chef. I could really benefit from your online tuition!!!
I would be honored to take this class. I’m always looking for new ideas.
Hello. I want to add variety to my vegan diet BC I am not always a consistently enthusiastic cook so I struggle…BUT being a non cook is an exciting way to spice things up in the kitchen. Please pick me!!
I am trying to get away from the mock meats. They are just so fast and easy to prepare. Would love help!
I want to learn how to make great vegan meals to share with friends and family to help convince them that going vegan is tasty and easy. Thank you for what you do! Amy
I’d love to win this! I am about to go back to school in the fall and I find that my eating habits totally change from the summer when I have time to make what I want, when I want, and EAT when I want. Crossing my fingers!
I’m not a vegan but would like to shift my diet into incorporating more of the vegan way of eating. The class sound like it would be really helpful to me. Not sure how it would work with my work schedule but I suppose we will work that out later. 🙂
I love to cook but lack many technical skills so some recipes I try don’t come out as planned. I’m vegan, eager to learn new skills, connect with other vegans and would love to bring fantastic, healthy vegan recipes to social gatherings and holiday meals (especially Thanksgiving which unfortunately is a meal that society has centered around a dead animal. I want to change the focus of my family’s Thanksgiving away from the turkey). So, I hope to learn things I can apply to the holiday season.
Hi! I’ve been veg/vegan for 24 years! My 4 year old is vegetarian and his daddy is omni. Any ideas to keep it interesting and yum in my house is greatly appreciated. I’m trying to lead by example!
I just love anything to do with cooking and eating vegan!
I don’t have any friends that are vegan, so I’d love the opportunity to connect with other vegans online and to learn quick and easy food prep!
Need fast and easy as it is taking far too much time to prepare vegan and non vegan…thanks for all you do and share!!
My friends call me the weekday vegan and weekend carnivore, working full time with kiddos at home and carnivore hubby. I would love to have more knowledge about tasty quick meals. This is a great idea!
I’d love to join the class since I have no formal training in cooking of any kind and while I’ve been trying to learn on my own, the guidance of a pro would be a big help so that I don’t make “fast, plant-based meals” out of rice cakes topped with cucumbers, tomatoes, and hummus all the time. 🙂
Hello. I have been an ethical vegan for about 1.5 years. Last year, I convinced my husband to go vegan. Recently, he has expressed that he feels bored with our food choices. We are also expecitng our first child in October. I would love some advice on how to freshen things up in the kitchen so my husband feels satisfied with our meal choices. At the same time, I also need to keep it simple since I will be a new mom. I’m already trying to come up with portable snack ideas for when our littlest vegan is on to solid foods. Many thanks!
I would love to learn how to cook all the new vegetables that are coming weekly in my farm share box! Thanks! JL Moore (Just realized that I’m JL, too!)
Really busy vegan who could do with a few more healthy foods. I do try but would like to increase the veg content of my diet.
Hi I would LOVE to take this class! I am entering my 7th year as a vegan next month. I am currently enrolled in the Plant Based Nutrition course through ecornell and have a family of 4. My 16 year old would love to be vegan but finds the food boring, my 5 year old doesn’t like a lot of the food I cook so I am basically cooking 3 meals every night and it is tiring! I would LOVE to find food that everyone would love so that I can feed my family healthy food with just one meal being made!!!!
Thank you!!!!
I am a brand new vegan, making the change for health reasons, and I’m struggling with balancing this transition with my busy work and family life.
Hi JL! I’m always looking for ways to make sure I get healthy proteins in my diet. Your site has been such a help on my journey, would love to see what you have up next!
Hi, I joined a diet study group about 6 months ago and was “randomly” put in the vegan group for 8 weeks. Never imagined I would stick with it when the study was through, but after seeing my cholesterol drop, my weight drop, and my well-being increase, I had no craving for my old ways of eating! I was so excited about my newfound veganism, I started searching for classes, conferences, seminars, groups…anything I could find that would help motivate and coach me. Living in a Southern town…nothing. Folks here think vegans are from another planet. I recently visited Chicago and was astounded at the number of vegan restaurants, juice bars, etc. there. Heaven! Not so here. I don’t eat out much any more, preferring to prepare my own meals, but I’m getting bored with what I know! Plus I would love to find some exciting new ideas to try to at least get my husband and teenagers to consider jumping on board, even if it’s just a little bit! This class sounds like the perfect opportunity to expand my horizons and stretch me beyond what I’ve learned to this point. My recipes/foods/motivation are getting boring.
Would love to incorporate your inventive ideas in my life. Thanks for the offer!
I need help! I know my husband and I would be healthier, I know it’s a better life style, I know it is nutritionally sound, but… I need help making that final push. I live in a small town with no vegan support group close by, no vegan cooking classes, etc. This class (and your enthusiasm) would be something help me on my journey.
I’d love to take this course, as I am a vegan who loves to eat healthy. I often am pressed for time and struggle to find the time and energy to cook & incorporate all the veg I get from my CSA into my weekly meals. I’d greatly appreciate help in this regard. Thanks 🙂
I would love to win this and gift it to my vegetarian friend who is struggling with trying to go vegan in a household where she has no support. I try to give suggestions and help but I think if she could learn some really good basics and info from someone who knows what they’re doing with teaching (you!) she might be able to gain the confidence to take that leap!
I would love to take this class! I have never taken a cooking class and am always looking to learn new skills and try new recipes! I would love to try the class!
HI! This interests me because I’m single, it’s tough to buy groceries and cook for one and ‘mix it up’ with the same ingredients so there is no waste. I’m newly vegan (for 3 months now) after being newly vegetarian for almost a year (August in my Veg-anniversary.) I’m born and raised a Texas farm girl, so this has been a completely new experience for me! Thanks for offering the contest!
I have been vegan for 5 years now and it is my passion to cook delicious, healthy, whole food vegan dishes. I am always looking for new techniques, ingredients and different ways to cooks meals. I love to follow your blog and always save fun and interesting recipes that you post.
I’m so sad I will be traveling for half of September. Otherwise, I’d be jumping up and down shouting ME! ME! ME! 🙂
Auuugh would love! *crossing all my fingers*
What a great opportunity, specially for me from Europe! I would really
love to follow this class! I was a vegetarian for over 20 years and
vegan since 8 months now. I exercise a lot and it would be really
helpful to get advise about how to get enough healthy proteins. Would
love to learn how to incoroporate fabulous 5 vegan food groups!
Being a solo vegan in a family of 4, an online class seems best suited to our busy lives. Plus you haven’t visited our neck of the woods — the Southeast — yet. AND this would boost my confidence in the kitchen. Thanks for the chance to win.
Pick me! Pick me! I’m in Australia, so I can’t get to your in-person classes.
Pick me! Pick me! I’m in Australia, so I can’t get to your in-person classes – and I can always use more healthy, vegan recipe ideas.
Brand new vegan, cooking for a carnivore. I’ve convinced my fiancee that when we have children that everyone in the house should be vegan or vegetarian.
Could really use the help in learning how to implement this lifestyle!!! Making a lot of lunches for work, and dinners for family. Slowly getting over my cheese addiction.
I would love to take your class…I am an over weight older male who has discovered Dr Furman’s program and am struggling to follow him. I am not vegan, but trying to be a lot less of a meat eater, and more of a plant first kinda guy. I am retired, so my time is your time. I’ve got the ability to try any recipe you want me to.
Sounds fun. I’d love to take the class because while I’m an omnivore, my wife has recently gone vegan, and I’m trying to limit my use of animal products so this class sounds like it would be very useful!
Recently diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiform(brain cancer) at 19 as of April. Ive adopted a whole foods plant based vegan diet to help me in this battle. Ive learned so much over the past few months and im ready to spread this knowledge to others.
I have been a vegetarian for 13 years (since the age of 12) and have recently been eating a vegan diet for a few months out of the year. I’m having trouble commiting to this ifestyle full time as I have a busy schedule and can’t always make time for advance meal planning; I really think taking this online course would help build my confidence/skills and help me live as a vegan long term!!
Being vegan and living with 3 omnivores, I feel like a short order cook. I’d like to learn how to prepare healthy, quick vegan meals so I can stick to my diet, while cooking for my meat-loving family.
hi I am a vegetarian for more than 20 years and have always wanted to switch to vegan-hood..yet being a full-time working mom to 3 vegetarian(pretty much vegan as they hated dairy products..except some vegetarian cheese) and hubby, I needed as much guide and skills to be able to cook up yummy vegan food quick and healthy way! Joining your online vegan class would certainly fulfill my dream to be one..while I am still living/alive 😀
I would LOVE love love to take this class. I love to cook, and I’ve been a vegetarian for 25 years hoping to move closer and closer to veganism. Also, I have 3 daughters and a husband whom I cook for and unfortunately are meat eaters. I am trying so hard to get them interested in the way that I eat but to no avail…so far. Maybe with some delicious recipes and preparations that I learn through you, my whole family could get closer and closer to a predominately plant based diet. Thank you!!!
I would love to learn new cooking techniques and new ingredient uses. I love cooking and am always looking for new and exciting recipes!
Hello, I have a friend- Angelica D, she has been vegan for a while. I know this is one of her passions. She educates the public on veganism and she also enjoys making vegan dishes for herself and others. Lately, she has told me she would like to learn more vegan recipes, which certain vegan foods go well together, etc. I think this class would be great for her if maybe you’d consider her 🙂
Love cooking vegan meals for family and friends so they can see first hand that it’s delicious and doable to cook vegan. If I can influence one person to begin the vegetarian/vegan journey then that is one step for animals! So finding new recipes to serve is always helpful and I love finding wholesome yummy meals without the meat alternatives, but yes to lentils, beans, kale, and more! Thanks for the opportunity to learn.
I love your recipes and your passion for teaching people about vegan food and the vegan lifestyle. I’m always looking for new ideas and new techniques, and live too far away to ever get to one of your in-person classes.
After seeing all you can do at the VegFest, I want more more more! Besides, I’m tired of eating the same old stuff meal after meal. I need some inspiration!
I am new at being a Vegan (4 months). I come from the ole school of meat and potatoes always looking for new ways to serve Vegan dishes. I live with a man who is partial Vegan, if that is possible. He does eat Vegan a couple times a week. Still working on this. His blood sugar has dropped tremendously even being partial Vegan!
I was a vegetarian for decades before I became vegan. I am trying to use gentle persuasion (in the form tasty vegan dishes) for my teenage nephews who eat nothing that doesn’t come out of a drive-thru. I need more inspiration!
I’m looking for more convenient vegan recipes that’ll keep me from reaching for pizza when I’m in a rush.
I just stumbled upon your awesome site from another link while searching for new ideas on eating and cooking. I became vegan several months ago after watching several documentaries. I still need ideas for meals for myself, my family, and guests. There is so much I would still appreciate learning about nutrition, spices, tofu, techniques, and probably things I haven’t even contemplated. Your featured recipes look so delicious!
The giveaway is now closed to new entries! I will announce the winners soon! (Many of you asked some great questions in the comments and I will try to get back to you via email.)
