I do not know where to begin. Or where to end. But I want you to know that so many amazing vegan things have been happening in Montana. Pretty much because of one person, who touches many lives: Bonnie Goodman.
Tonight, out of sheer exhaustion, I’m just going to share photos that tell some of the story.
Arriving in Billings.
Lunch at The Field House in Billings: Brussels sprouts with cashew-Parmesan and sun-dried tomato aioli (with Vegenaise).
Setting up for the class at the Wheatgrass Saloon in Livingston.
By the time the class started it filled up and they were bringing more chairs out!
The next day I did a mini demo at The Live and Let Livingston vegan potluck. The theme was potatoes and Bonnie made spice cake cupcakes with caramel “gravy” and banana taffy – all to serve up a “mashed potato” cupcake. YUM (and clever)!
Then it was time for Bozeman! First up, a book signing at The Country Bookshelf.
Then to Bonnie’s friend Jennifer’s home for an authentic vegan Chinese lunch.
Then it was time for another class, this one at the Bozeman Public Library. (Thanks, Fagor, for letting me give away a pressure cooker!)
Tuesday I was in Helena for a book signing at Montana Book Company where I got to meet fellow vegan lifestyle coach and educator Melisa Kaiser Synness.
And then another class, this one at Natural Grocers…
…where I met this gentleman, sitting in the front row and razzing me most of the class. But he was taking notes, and he made me laugh, so I didn’t just forgive him. I hugged him!
That night we drove from Helena to Boulder Springs for a 36-hour respite. I slept in. I worked on Real World Vegan Meal Plans and a couple of consulting client projects before spending my afternoon in this hot springs pool.
Thursday? Missoula, baby! I’ll be at Natural Grocers at 1pm for a vegan pressure cooking 101 class, Fact and Fiction around 4 to sign books and then I’ll attend the Missoula Vegans Potluck!
