My last spring living in New York I witnessed something truly remarkable – a calf rescued from the streets of New Jersey and transported to a sanctuary.
It begged the question: What are you doing to help animals today?
That rescue didn’t just “happen.” Mike Stura, a long-time volunteer at WFAS, made the rescue with a new truck he purchased, with his own money, to save animals. Years later Mike still rescues animals – with two vehicles now in his fleet – and he has erected a building on his own property to house farmed animals in need of sanctuary.
A fan of Mike’s started a Go Fund Me campaign designed to help finance Mike’s ever-growing expenses to rescue animals. Let me pause for a minute…
…I’m starting to get crowdfunding fatigue. There, I said it.
But there are some crowdfunding gems out there. Like supporting Mike Stura’s relentless dedication to saving animals in need.
You can support him, too. Help Mike rescue more animals in need. Here.
