Vegan MoFo 2013 VIDEO #16: Vegan Airport Food

Hello from the road! Here’s a quick video on vegan airport food!

VIDEO NOTES:

  1. My favorite airport breakfast is a bean burrito because Mexican restaurants are pretty easy to find at airports these days and most of the time at least one type of bean offered is vegetarian.
  2. If you’re luck enough to be in an airport with a CIBO Express Gourmet Market. Many carry lines by local vegan cafes!
  3. Check out this 2012 Airport Food Review report from PCRM.
  4. When I have time, I like to make a hummus wrap at home, loaded with lettuce or sprouts. I wrap it in foil and place it in a plastic bag (to avoid leaking and squishing). Though I have heard some people say they have trouble getting it through security, I have never encountered this.
  5. I make sure to have nuts and seeds in my bag, along with baby carrots and a banana or another piece of fruit.
