News! I’m writing my second book! (Recipe Testers Needed!)

I’m working on my second book. Can you believe it? I can’t.

Seriously, when I started writing this blog I had only two intentions – stay vegan and try to help others along the way. I had no idea I would ultimately shift my career to writing, vegan cooking and lifestyle coaching, and plant-based corporate consulting. No idea.

When Ginny Messina invited me to co-author Vegan for Her it was a pinch-me moment. I felt transported in time, back to the 12-year old Jerri Lynn who boldly proclaimed “I’m going to be an author.” Life got in the way – or the bullshit thinking that keeps one from believing that dreams come true with hard work – and I was leading another professional reality (and loving it). And then Vegan for Her happened; it was a game-changer.

Now I find myself working on my second book, tentatively titled Vegan Pressure Cooking, with Fair Winds Press. Long-time readers know I’m cuckoo for the pressure cooker so I don’t suppose the book topic is astonishing but I would be lying if I didn’t admit that it all still seems so surprising to me that I’ve co-authored one book and am now onto a second one – solo this time.

Not unexpected, however, is how OVER THE MOON I am about writing a pressure cooker cookbook!

So bear with me over the next few months because I will be sharing lots of pressure cooker food porn pics on the blog!

One of the really fun things about writing a cookbook is working with recipe testers. Are you interested in testing vegan pressure cooker recipes?  I’m selecting only a few people and obviously testers need a pressure cooker. I would like a few folks who use electric pressure cookers but prefer that the majority of the testers use a stovetop pressure cooker. If you’re up for some vegan pressure cooking fun for a few months, fill out the application below (I should mention that I learned a great deal during the last recipe testing process so I will be taking far fewer testers this time around – so please don’t take it personal if I am unable to select you). Please be honest about your experience with a pressure cooker. I don’t want only advanced folks – I want the range of experiences because people who buy this book will also represent a range of experiences. (Thanks!)

My huge thanks to all of you – my dear readers – who encourage me to create recipes. You are the reason opportunities such as these arise. I am grateful.

Recipe Testers Application

WOW, thank you! I have ninety applicants for recipe testing so I have removed the application. Many, many thanks for your interest!
