I few weeks ago I was offered the opportunity to try out a Sports Arm Pocket from Given Brand Arm Pockets©.

I’m always looking for a way to carry money and keys on my workout so I was excited to try it out.  Given Brand promptly sent me an arm band in return for a review with my honest opinion.

I’ve used an item like this in the past (a freebie in a race swag bag) and didn’t like it. It was bulky and stretched too much, I think because it offered way too much space for stuff. Give me a big bag, I’ll put everything I own it. Give me a big pocket, I’ll do the same.  The Sports Arm Pocket is thin and sleek.  There is plenty of room for keys and cash and not much else–

I always carry $10 - whether on a run or a ride - because it's enough for a cab, if I need a ride home!

though I did test it and stuffed a few gel packs in easily so I know what I’ll be using during my next half-marathon!

I like wearing this band on a bike ride because I don’t have to worry about my keys coming out of my jersey pocket. I like it on a run because it fits snuggly.  I don’t even know I’m wearing it! I prefer carrying my keys in the sports arm pocket because I have enough junk in my trunk — no need to add one more bulge in the pocket of my running shorts.  (Vanity, thy name is JL).

I keep the Sports Arm Pocket right next to my Garmin, music and sunglasses. It’s a new workout essential.

    Question…is there enough room for a phone? I can’t find a holder I like for my phone.  Always worried it will get wet w/ sweat.
